Five Alloys That Shape Our Sheet & Plate Programme
1.4544 (SAE 321) is by far our deepest stock and our recommendation for the shortest lead time. The other four materials round out our core programme and are also regularly available from stock or on short lead time.
Titanium-stabilised austenitic chromium-nickel steel with good elevated-temperature strength and weldability. By far our deepest stock in the sheet programme — available from stock in nearly all common thicknesses from 0.4 to 5.0 mm.
Martensitic precipitation-hardening chromium-nickel-copper steel with high strength combined with good toughness and corrosion resistance. Proven for highly stressed sheet components in aerospace.
Precipitation-hardening chromium-nickel-copper steel with a broad property range. Widely used as sheet and plate in aerospace, mechanical engineering and defence.
Low-alloy chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel, readily weldable and heat-treatable, with high strength at low weight. Proven as sheet material in frame and structural construction.
Low-alloy quenched and tempered steel with a balanced combination of strength, toughness and weldability — one of our core programmes across all product forms.
